Best Winery Wedding Venue in Perth: Darlington Estate Winery
Darlington Estate Winery is one of the best wedding venues in Perth with an indoor-outdoor vibe, particularly for intimate weddings. The venue only hosts one wedding per day, so you get to have it completely all to yourselves and lovely guests.
Most notably, this charming vineyard estate features a stunning courtyard and a fully enclosed reception area housed in floor to ceiling glass. The latter is something we love as it gives the venue an al fresco feel and plenty of natural light.
Aside from being an ideal wedding venue for celebrants, it also presents a photographer’s dream wedding coverage. The lush green scenery makes for a stunning outdoor backdrop while the vintage fixtures and rustic interior screams luxury accommodation.
A dedicated wedding coordinator is also part of the wedding packages at Darlington, while a fully licensed bar, in-house chef and waitstaff are available should you wish to explore more options. At full capacity, the venue can hold up to 120 seated guests.
Best Heritage Wedding Venue in the Perth: Perth Town Hall
Here’s a treat! You don’t need to look no further than the historic Perth Town Hall to find the perfect wedding venue at Perth CBD.
Following renovations, the function room now offers a mix of modern and vintage architecture dominated by a Victorian Gothic style that looks sensational for hosting a good ‘ol ball or wedding ceremony.
Plus, the 15-metre ceiling soaring over the rustic floor boards creates incredible optics that will makes your special event look like a well-produced period drama.
No kidding! Check out the virtual tour of Perth Town Hall to see for yourself.
Perhaps the biggest challenge here is scheduling since its a community-owned venue. You have to plan well in advance and possibly adjust to the place’s own availability. But it’s worth it, especially if you want the freedom to arrange catering and other suppliers for the entire event.
At max capacity, Perth Town Hall can accommodate up to 240 seated guests for a wedding ceremony and reception.
Best Wedding Venue by the River: Beaumonde On the Point
Beaumonde on the Point boasts breathtaking views of the stunning Swan River, one of the most captivating attractions in Perth, Western Australia.
It’s our runaway choice for the best riverfront wedding venue in the city and simultaneously our handpicked recommendation for galas and big wedding ceremonies. The Grand Ballroom alone can host cocktail events up to 1,000 guests (up to 400 seated).
Additionally, we’ve heard great things about the menu provided by On the Point, especially their personalised options and local selections. The bride will also enjoy the venue’s dedicated Bridal Salon, a stylish preparation area for the bride and her entourage.
Elsewhere on the venue, the terrace should be a hit for wedding guests due to the extraordinary and relaxing views of Swan Valley and Swan River.
Best Wedding Venue in the City: University of Western Australia
The University of Western Australia turned out to be our biggest surprise for this list of the best Perth wedding venues!
Outdoor wedding venues are dime a dozen, yet few of them match up to the luxe and charm of the indoor and outdoor spaces offered by University of Western Australia for wedding ceremonies and reception.
There are three outdoor event spaces that are open for reservation: Sunken Garden, Tropical Grove and Somerville Auditorium. We were most impressed with the Sunken Garden where a small elevated area and ornamental pond with a foot bridge serves as a beautiful backdrop.
Meanwhile, The University Club is set as an indoor wedding and reception area. It can serve up to 200 seated guests at max.
Best Fairytale Wedding Venue in Perth: Amaroo Retreat & Spa
Amaroo Retreat & Spa is among the popular wedding venues for those who are looking for a whimsical or nature-themed wedding ceremony.
The location can host both indoor and outdoor settings and has an on-site restaurant, bar and accommodation. At just 45 minutes away from Perth CBD, it’s one of the most picturesque and tranquil venues within the area.
While the bushlands and scenic do make for a unique backdrop, we see Amaroo’s wedding packages as its most enigmatic offering which includes options for two-night accommodation (up to 16 guests), an exclusive rental of the entire venue, separate bridal area for preparation and more.
During the reception, Amaroo can accommodate up to 50 guests. This can be increased up to 100 through the wedding coordinator assigned for your wedding.

A four-storey waterfall, private jetty and renaissance-style gardens on your wedding day? That is the Amaroo Retreat & Spa special!
This family-owned venue offers a contemporary setting for corporate functions, weddings and other special events. There are three event spaces available for weddings: The Main House, The Marquee and The Garden House.
